Taylor Marine SOUTH AFRICA has an exciting opportunity for an experienced SERVICE TECHNICIAN in our Cape Town office.


Working with some of the world's leading brands of navigation and communications equipment across all market sectors in the maritime industry you will enjoy the comrade, technical support, training and satisfaction of working in a friendly and professional Team.


Applicants must meet the following:


Essential:

  • Honest, hardworking & well presented.

  • A motivated self-starter who takes pride & ownership of their work.

  • Highly organised.

  • Possess excellent time management skills.

  • Strong problem solving, communication & reporting skills.

  • Able to work well with other professionals & tradespeople.

  • Current & valid driver's licence.

Desirable:

  • Experienced in the installation and service of Furuno, MaxSea, Navitron, Jotron marine electronics for commercial & pleasure vessels.

  • GMDSS General Operators Certificate

  • Will need to become familiar with a wide range of products & provide product support.

  • Knowledge of common software & computers.

  • Current passport.

Ideally the applicant will possess a trade qualification and/or several years 'hands-on' experience. Full training in VDR APT and IMO equipment will be provided to the right applicant.
